
Internationally recognized pop group, ABBA were a Swedish band formed in Stockholm in 1972.
The four former members of the iconic Swedish group made a rare joint appearance for the opening of a Stockholm restaurant inspired by the “Mamma Mia!” musical, according to the Associated Press.
Bjoern Ulvaeus, co-creater of the “Mamma Mia” smash musical, opened the restaurant just a few blocks away from the ABBA museum.
On Wednesday, three members of the former band; Benny Andersson, Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad came to support fellow former band member Bjoern Ulvaeus’ Greek taverna, where guests are invited to sing along to ABBA tunes.
Ulvaeus’ seeks to provide a special dining experience for his taverna visitors with a Greek atmosphere that is highlighted by specially curated 70’s music.
When asked if the 4 member group would ever perform together again, Andersson said, “I don’t think so”, although he and the other members are in full support of Ulvaeus’ venture.
